Internal Doors

We offer a wide range of solid and glazed UPVC internal doors.

Made from high-quality thermoplastic, our UPVC internal doors won’t split or shrink like wood and only need an occasional wipe clean.

UPVC internal doors are fitted much like traditional wooden doors.

For customers based in Tyne and Wear, we can recommend skilled self-employed joiners who can survey your home free of charge and confirm measurements before you order.

FAQs

Our internal doors are manufactured using a 60mm subframe of MDF (which allows trimming of up to 25mm per side of the door) and an extra high density polystyrene core for insulation, giving six times the insulation value of a traditional interior door and improved impact resistance. The doors are finished using a 1.2mm UPVC plastic coating on either side. The 35mm sides of the door can either be edgebanded using white plastic or edge trimmed by using a central groove in the door and a capped strip. The edge trim can be flat or rebated; the rebated trim will facilitate hinges without the need for cutting out. Lock blocks are fitted centrally on both sides of the door, to eliminate potential miss-fitting of latches and other hardware.
There are more than 38 door styles to choose from. Call into our showroom to see our full range.
White is the most popular colour, and these doors can be edgebanded or edge trimmed. Other door colours available are black, anthracite grey, slate grey and Irish Oak. Our coloured doors come with edge trim only. All colours are UV stable.
As our doors are made to measure, they are manufactured to customer’s individual specifications. The maximum height we can do is 2070mm (81.5in), the maximum width is 864mm (34in) and minimum width size is 450mm (17.75in). Size range will depend on the door style. In some instances, the moulds on the door will determine the size range possible. See our brochure for full details.
There are currently two types of skin finish available, the traditional wood grain effect or a TIC skin (impregnated UPVC covering marked to create a grain effect). Our TIC skin is our most popular option to choose from.

Fitting internal Doors

Fitting UPVC internal doors follows the same principles as fitting traditional wooden doors, using linear or metric measurements.

For those based close to our factory in Tyne and Wear, we can recommend local fitters who will visit your property free of charge to conduct a survey and confirm measurements, before they come back to fit your doors once they are ready.

Once we’ve received your measurements, we will confirm the design styles and options available to you so we can provide you with an accurate quote before order placement. This means you can place your order with total confidence.

As soon as your doors have been manufactured, we will contact you so that you can liaise with your fitter to organise a suitable date for installation.

For solid doors or glazed doors with simple designs, the manufacturing process usually takes between three to four weeks from order placement. For detailed glass designs, a manufacturing time of five to six weeks should be expected.
